Fluorescents and Household Battery Recycling
Fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescents contain mercury vapor,
an acutely toxic material, and cannot be disposed of in the trash.
Household batteries contain heavy metals
such as zinc, cadmium and lead.
Tape ends of all NON alkaline batteries with electrical or duct tape
to prevent shorting before disposal.
Keep fluorescents and household batteries separate
to prevent breakage, and recycle at the following locations:
