NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR
PROPOSED ORDINANCE ADJUSTING COMPENSATION FOR
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NOVATO SANITARY DISTRICT
    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, the 10th day of August 2026, at the hour of 5:30 p.m. at the regular meeting place of said District, 500 Davidson Street, Novato, California, said Board will hear all persons desiring to be heard and shall consider the adoption of a Ordinance No. 125 entitled “An Ordinance Adjusting Compensation for Board of Directors of the Novato Sanitary District.”
Water Code Section 20200, et seq. authorizes an increase in compensation by an amount not to exceed 5% for each calendar year following the operative date of the last adjustment, of the compensation which is received when the ordinance is adopted. The last adjustment of the compensation of the District Board occurred in 2005, when the compensation was increased to $225.00 per meeting day. The proposed adjustment would increase the Directors’ compensation by $25.00 per meeting day to an amount not-to-exceed $250.00 per meeting day or day of service.
