The Novato Sanitary District is seeking a community-minded resident to fill a vacancy in Division 1 on its five-member Board of Directors. Applicants must be registered voters and reside within Division 1. Check out our interactive map for division boundaries.
This is a meaningful opportunity to play a direct role in decisions that affect every household and business in Novato, from the reliability of wastewater infrastructure to responsible solid waste and recycling programs that help keep our community clean and our environment protected.
NSD has served the Novato community for more than 100 years. As a Board member, you'll help guide the policies and priorities that will shape the next century of service. No prior experience in sanitation or engineering is required. What matters most is a commitment to public service, a willingness to engage with complex issues, and a genuine interest in serving the community.
Board meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. Directors receive a modest stipend.
