The Novato Streetscape Committee would like to extend a big “thank you” to the many, dedicated volunteers who participated in Novato’s 16th annual Clean & Green Day on April 20, as well to Bank of Marin, Whole Foods, Novato Sanitary District, Pini Hardware, Novato Builders Supply, Home Ground Habitat Nursery, Redwood Bagel and Pulger’s Plants for their support.
Novato Sanitary District’s Dee Johnson and Novato Disposal’s Bessie Martinez staffed a joint booth at the Novato School Fuel Fun Fair. They had a recyclables toss and information about recycling and pollution prevention. The booth contributed $500 to support Novato education.

As water flowed through a purple pipe into a series of filters, a crowd of workers and officials gathered at the Novato Sanitary District on Thursday to dedicate its new $6 million recycling plant.
