Novato Sanitary District has approved a 3% solid waste rate increase for 2015. The District’s franchise waste hauler, Novato Disposal, charges customers rates that are the lowest in Marin County.

The Novato Streetscape Committee would like to extend a big “thank you” to the many, dedicated volunteers who participated in Novato’s 16th annual Clean & Green Day on April 20, as well to Bank of Marin, Whole Foods, Novato Sanitary District, Pini Hardware, Novato Builders Supply, Home Ground Habitat Nursery, Redwood Bagel and Pulger’s Plants for their support.
Novato Sanitary District’s Dee Johnson and Novato Disposal’s Bessie Martinez staffed a joint booth at the Novato School Fuel Fun Fair. They had a recyclables toss and information about recycling and pollution prevention. The booth contributed $500 to support Novato education.
